Three Dogs Maul Telecom Technician in Benin, Owner Arrested
Police in Edo State have warned dog owners and breeders to properly restrain and supervise their animals after three dogs attacked a telecommunications technician in Benin City. The technician was reportedly installing network equipment at a site behind the Okhoro Police Division on Okhoro Road when the dogs attacked him after the gate was opened. Neighbours reportedly responded to his cries and rescued him. He sustained a head injury and received emergency treatment at a nearby hospital. Police said the dog owner has been arrested following a complaint by the victim, while an investigation is ongoing.
