Osun Lawmaker Arrested as Police Recover Over 200 PVCs, Detain 143 Suspects

Osun State Police Command says it arrested Abiola Ibrahim Inaolaji, a serving Accord Party member of the Osun State House of Assembly, alongside 143 suspected electoral mercenaries allegedly camped at his residence in Ikire. Police reportedly recovered more than 200 Permanent Voter Cards during the operation. Inaolaji represents the Irewole/Isokan State Constituency. In a video circulating after the arrest, the lawmaker allegedly said the suspects were brought into Osun from neighbouring states to vote. The police say the operation is part of increased security measures ahead of the election.
