Onitsha Pastor Arraigned Over Alleged Illicit-Wealth Teachings, Murder and Abduction

The General Overseer of Dayspring Assembly in Awada, Obosi, Harrison Anazodo, has been arraigned before an Anambra State High Court in Awka on a seven-count charge. The charges include allegations of promoting wealth acquisition through supernatural means, an offence prohibited under the Anambra State Homeland Security Law 2025. He is also accused of murder, abduction, and unlawfully isolating people from their families at his residence. Anazodo, who was arrested in June 2025, pleaded not guilty to all counts. The court heard that he had spent three weeks in the intensive care unit of a teaching hospital in Awka and ordered that he be returned there. The case was adjourned until October 12, 2026, for the hearing of his bail application and further proceedings.
