Two Suspected Herders Arrested After Alleged Attack on Farmers in Plateau
Troops of Sector 8, Operation Enduring Peace, have arrested two suspected herders after an alleged attack on residents harvesting crops in Sabon Layi village, Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State. The troops reportedly responded to a distress call at about 1:30 p.m. on Monday, August 24. They found an elderly woman injured and took her to Missionary Hospital, Sabon Layi, for treatment. The other suspects reportedly fled the area. The two arrested men have been handed over to the Keystone Mangu Divisional Police Command for investigation, while security forces continue efforts to prevent further violence.
