The Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) is seeking deeper collaboration with China to strengthen security in Lagos. Its Executive Secretary, Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan, met with Chinese Consul General Yan Yuqing to discuss training, technology, equipment and support from Chinese businesses operating in Nigeria. Ogunsan said improved training and modern equipment would help security agencies serve Lagos residents, investors and businesses more effectively. He acknowledged past Chinese support and noted that CIG Motors recently donated 10 vehicles to the Fund. The Consul General pledged continued support, particularly for training and security equipment. She also called for stronger police presence around the Chinese Consulate and other locations connected to Chinese businesses, especially at night.
