Sunday Igboho Launches Iru Ekun Security Network in Ogun, Seeks Government Training
Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has launched the Ogun State chapter of the Iru Ekun Security Network. He said the Federal Government would decide who trains members of the outfit, while the Ogun State Government would determine their areas of deployment. According to him, trained members would receive identification cards through their local governments. Igboho said the state government had promised support and would determine members' monthly allowances. He urged recruits to remain disciplined and not abuse their training or identification. He added that the long-term plan is for Iru Ekun operatives across the South-West to receive official IDs and support security efforts. The Ogun launch follows the group's earlier inauguration in Kwara State, where it was presented as a way to help secure forests and deny criminals safe hideouts.
