NAF Strengthens Air Operations Against Terrorists and Bandits in Sokoto
The Nigerian Air Force has increased its air presence in Sokoto State to support joint operations against terrorism, banditry, kidnapping and other crimes across the North-West. The NAF said the expanded deployment will improve aerial surveillance and rapid-response capacity. It is intended to help security forces track and disrupt armed groups that use difficult terrain, mobility and concealment to evade ground troops. Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, said the service will use intelligence-led airpower alongside the Nigerian Army and other agencies. He said civilian safety remains a priority and urged residents to provide credible information to security authorities.
