Police Arrest 65-Year-Old Over Alleged Secessionist Links, Nab Six Others in Anambra

Police in Anambra State have arrested a 65-year-old man, Ifeanyi Ogbuagbo, over alleged links to a group advocating self-government. Police said operatives recovered an army-style uniform and spent ammunition shells during a search of his residence in Umudioka, Dunukofia Local Government Area. He is in custody as investigations continue. In a separate operation in Ekwulobia, Aguata LGA, six other suspects were arrested at a location described as a criminal hideout. Officers reportedly recovered dried weeds suspected to be cannabis and other substances believed to be illicit drugs. The Anambra Police Command said it will sustain intelligence-led raids, patrols and operations against violent crime, cultism and drug trafficking across the state.
