Florida Man Arrested Over Alleged Methamphetamine Exposure of One-Year-Old
A 46-year-old Florida man has been arrested after investigators alleged that he put methamphetamine in a one-year-old child’s sippy cup. The child reportedly ingested the drug, suffered an overdose and was taken to hospital in critical condition. The incident reportedly happened in February in Callahan, Florida. The child survived and was later placed in the custody of the state’s child welfare agency. Authorities said other people previously arrested in the case identified the man as the person who allegedly put the drug in the cup. He faces charges of child neglect causing great bodily harm and possession of drug paraphernalia. Investigators also allege that adults at the home did not immediately call emergency services after learning the child may have been exposed.
