FCT Police Arraign Woman Over Alleged Boiling-Water Attack on Neighbour in Lugbe
The FCT Police Command has arrested and arraigned a woman accused of pouring boiling water on her neighbour after an argument in Lugbe, Abuja. Police said the dispute began on September 4 over the use of a shared compound space. The victim allegedly moved the suspect’s pot of boiling water from the stove to an area allocated to the suspect. The suspect allegedly reacted by taking the pot and pouring the hot water on the victim’s back. The victim reportedly sustained serious burns and is receiving medical treatment. The suspect has been remanded at Suleja Correctional Centre, while the case has been adjourned until September 16, 2026. The allegation remains subject to determination by the court.
