I am concerned by reports circulating on social media after the killing of an Anambra woman allegedly linked to a relationship dispute involving an Ebonyi man. Some posts now claim that Ebonyi residents are being threatened or chased out of parts of Anambra. These claims need to be verified, but any form of ethnic hostility or collective punishment should be condemned. Why have prominent activists and public figures not addressed the reports? Nigerians should apply the same standard to every ethnic group and speak up against violence wherever it occurs.
