FAAC Shares ₦2.43 Trillion Among FG, States and LGs for September

The Federation Account Allocation Committee shared ₦2.428 trillion among the Federal Government, states and local government councils for September 2026. This was about ₦90 billion higher than the ₦2.338 trillion distributed in August. The Federal Government received ₦832.242 billion, states received ₦799.872 billion and local governments got ₦560.660 billion. Eligible oil-producing states also received ₦236.049 billion as 13 per cent derivation revenue. The allocation included ₦1.672 trillion from statutory revenue and ₦756.587 billion from VAT. Although VAT, company income tax, capital gains tax and stamp-duty collections declined, higher statutory revenue lifted the overall amount shared. Total gross revenue for September was ₦3.913 trillion, after deductions for collection costs, transfers, refunds and savings.
