Delta Police Detain Commissioner, Four Others Over Deputy Director’s Death

Delta State Police Command says five people, including the Commissioner for Secondary Education, Dr Kingsley Ashibogwu, are now in custody over the death of Deputy Director Unity Ekpevbughe Adeda. Adeda reportedly died after he was tied up and assaulted at the Delta State Secretariat on September 24. Police said the latest arrests followed an investigation into the incident. The command has also declared a manhunt for Clementine Ufuoma, Director of Basic and Secondary Education, and Clement Apia, the commissioner’s driver. Police urged both individuals to report themselves and promised a thorough investigation.
