Adeleke’s Camp Denies Tinubu Deal After Keyamo’s ‘Agreement’ Comment

Osun Governor Ademola Adeleke’s campaign council has denied claims that his support for President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid was part of a political bargain. The denial followed Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo’s congratulatory message after Adeleke’s governorship victory. Keyamo referred to an “agreement,” prompting online speculation about a private deal between the two politicians. Campaign spokesperson Pelumi Olajengbesi said there was no agreement and insisted that Adeleke’s endorsement was based on Tinubu’s reforms and performance. He added that Osun voters freely chose Adeleke, while the President ensured the democratic process was respected. INEC declared Adeleke winner of the August 15 election after he polled 511,067 votes, ahead of APC candidate Bola Oyebamiji, who received 444,815 votes.
