Three Arrested in Kano After Man Allegedly Beaten to Death Over Affair Accusation

Kano State Police Command has arrested three people over the death of 30-year-old Abubakar Auwal, who was allegedly beaten after being accused of enticing a married woman. Police said Abubakar Ali, 40, Sulaiman Lawan, 27, and Hafsat Umar, 22, allegedly lured Auwal to a location in the Sheka area on July 24 and assaulted him. Officers reportedly found him unconscious and rushed him to Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital, where he was confirmed dead. The police said Auwal's body has been deposited for an autopsy. The suspects are expected to be charged after investigations are concluded. Commissioner of Police Ibrahim Adamu Bakori condemned the alleged killing and warned residents not to take the law into their own hands.
