VIO Officer Reportedly Killed After Truck Incident in Akure

A Vehicle Inspection Officer has reportedly died after a truck struck him on Hospital Road, opposite Mega Primary School in Akure, Ondo State. Eyewitnesses said the officer was trying to stop the truck when the incident occurred. He was reportedly trapped beneath the vehicle, while residents and colleagues gathered at the scene. The reason for the attempted stop and the identity of the officer were not yet confirmed. Authorities had also not issued an official statement at the time of the report.
