Osun Man Arrested for Allegedly Killing Mother Over Family Farmland
Osun State Police Command has arrested Taye Kasali over the alleged killing of his mother, Kudirat Kasali, following a dispute over family farmland. Police said both mother and son were reported missing at Bode-Osi Division on September 1, 2026. Investigators later arrested the son on September 7 after intelligence-led inquiries. During interrogation, the suspect allegedly confessed to killing his mother on August 31 after she reportedly threatened to lease out the family farm. He allegedly led officers to a shallow grave on the farm, where the victim's remains and a machete were recovered. The police said the suspect will be charged to court after the investigation is completed.
