Fubara to Commission N80.8bn Elele–Omudioga–Omoku Road by May
Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara says the 33.5-kilometre Elele–Omudioga–Egbeda–Ubimini–Ikiri–Omoku dual carriageway is nearing completion. The N80.8 billion project is on track for April delivery and will be commissioned in early May. Awarded to Craneburg Construction, the road links Ikwerre, Emohua and Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni LGAs. It was funded from the state’s internally generated revenue. Work is about 90% complete. Fubara described the project as a landmark of purposeful governance. He highlighted its economic boost to the Omoku gas hub and its role in improving security. The upgraded road will help security agencies respond faster and curb crime along the corridor.
