Senator Francis Fadahunsi of Osun East has clarified that his “kill Accord” remark was a political metaphor, not a call for violence against Accord Party supporters. A video from an APC gathering in Ilesa showed the senator speaking in Yoruba and urging supporters to confront the Accord Party. In a statement, Fadahunsi said he meant APC supporters should defeat the Accord Party through votes at the ballot box. He urged political actors, voters and security agencies to maintain peace and ensure a credible election free from intimidation.
