NDC Alleges INEC Published Unauthorised Candidates for 2027 Elections
The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has alleged that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) removed candidates nominated by the party and published names it did not authorise for the 2027 general elections. The party’s national chairman, Senator Moses Cleopas Zuwoghe, said the alleged substitutions affected nine State House of Assembly candidates in Anambra State. He claimed the names were neither approved nor submitted by the party. The NDC called for an immediate investigation by INEC, saying similar issues may have occurred in Benue, Imo and other states. The allegation has not been independently verified.
