Lagos APC Expels Egunjobi, Yusuf After Their Defection to APM

The Lagos State chapter of the APC has expelled former Agege Local Government Chairman Ganiyu Kola Egunjobi and Azeez Oladapo Yusuf after they left the party to contest the 2027 House of Assembly election on the APM platform. The party said both men took part in its nomination process for Agege Constituencies I and II but switched parties after they did not emerge as APC candidates. It accused them of anti-party activity and cited its constitution in announcing their expulsion. Egunjobi and Yusuf maintain that they won their respective primaries but were denied the tickets. They said they sought internal redress before deciding to run under APM. The APC has named Gbenga Abiola and Sakiru Enimakure as its candidates for the two constituencies.
