23-Year-Old Man Arrested for Allegedly Defiling 14-Year-Old Girl in Ondo

Emmanuel Usman, 23, was arrested by the Ondo State Police Command for allegedly defiling a 14-year-old girl in Ijebu-Owo, Owo Local Government Area. The victim reported the incident on March 29. She said Usman forced her into his employer’s office and had unlawful carnal knowledge of her without consent. He threatened her with dire consequences if she spoke out. Police from the Gender-Based Violence Unit acted swiftly. The suspect is in custody and has given a statement to support the investigation. The girl received medical care at Owo General Hospital and will get psychosocial support. Commissioner of Police Adebowale Lawal directed that the case be handled with urgency and sensitivity. The command condemns all abuse against minors and urges the public to report any suspicious activities.
