Kano Police Arrest Suspected Kidnapper Linked to ₦20m Ransom Case, Recover Drone
Kano State Police Command says it has arrested a 35-year-old suspected kidnapper and cattle rustler during an intelligence-led operation by its Anti-Kidnapping Squad. Police allege that the suspect belonged to a syndicate operating across Kano, Kaduna and Katsina states. He is accused of taking part in the abduction of a woman in Kwanar Dangora, for which ₦20 million was allegedly paid as ransom, as well as other kidnapping and cattle-rustling cases. The command said another suspected member of the group has been arrested, while efforts continue to find other suspects and recover weapons. In a separate clearance operation, officers recovered a camera drone found in Hawan Tarau village, Bebeji LGA, and are tracing its owner.
