Three-Month-Old Baby Girl Killed by Dog in North Yorkshire Home

A three-month-old baby girl has died following a dog attack at a home in Redcar, North Yorkshire. Armed officers were called to Hardale Grove around 1:30pm on April 9 after concerns for a child. By the time police arrived, the baby was already deceased from what is believed to be a dog bite. Neighbours stayed indoors while one dog was shot by officers and another was recovered. A 31-year-old woman was treated in hospital for an arm injury. A 45-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being in charge of a dangerously out-of-control dog causing death. He has since been released on bail. Police continue to appeal for any information or footage that could assist the investigation.
