Police Arrest Female Students Over Viral Assault Video in Plateau
Police in Plateau State have arrested female students accused of assaulting another student in a video that circulated online. The incident reportedly occurred in Pankshin Local Government Area. The police spokesperson said the Commissioner of Police ordered an immediate investigation after the video surfaced. The suspects will be moved to the State Criminal Investigation Department after preliminary inquiries and may be charged to court. Police condemned the alleged assault and warned residents against jungle justice. The command also said recording and sharing violent acts online could lead to additional cybercrime-related charges. The students are from the Federal University of Education, Pankshin.
