Benue APC Rebukes Ex-Chairman Agada Over Criticism of Alia, Party Leaders
The Benue State chapter of the APC has criticised former state chairman Austin Agada over remarks he made about Governor Hyacinth Alia and party leaders Moses Ternenge and Livinus Tsar. Agada had described Alia as an ingrate during a television appearance and made derogatory comments about Ternenge and Tsar. The party said the remarks were irresponsible and could deepen divisions within its ranks. The APC rejected claims that Governor Alia is being controlled by people around him. It asked Agada to provide evidence for any concerns and said his claim of selling property to support the 2023 governorship campaign was a personal matter. The party said it remains focused on strengthening its structure ahead of the 2027 elections. It also urged aggrieved members to pursue reconciliation in the interest of party unity.
