Oyo Police Arrest Six Over Suspected Counterfeit €8,900 in Ibadan

Oyo State Police Command has arrested six people over the alleged possession, circulation and production of counterfeit euro notes in Ibadan. Three men were initially stopped during a township patrol around the Labo–Wesley area. Police said a search recovered 89 suspected counterfeit €100 notes, valued at €8,900. Investigators said the suspects led operatives to a location where the notes were allegedly obtained. A further search reportedly uncovered materials believed to have been used to produce the currency, leading to two more arrests. All six suspects are in custody as investigations continue. Police said they will be charged to court after the investigation is concluded.
