Three Killed as News Helicopter Crashes Near Deadly Los Angeles Bus Wreck
Three people were killed after a news helicopter crashed in Los Angeles on Tuesday evening near the scene of an earlier fatal Metro bus collision. Two of the victims were believed to be aboard the aircraft, while a pedestrian was also killed. One survivor was taken to hospital in critical condition. The helicopter came down between commercial buildings on Mason Avenue at about 7 p.m., setting nearby vehicles on fire. Firefighters were already responding to the earlier collision involving a Metro bus and another vehicle. Two people were killed in the bus crash, while six others were taken to hospital. The two incidents brought the reported death toll in the area to five.
