Umuoba Anam Youths Seek Probe Into Alleged Threats Against Soldiers in Anambra East
The Umuoba Anam Youth Council has asked the Anambra State Government and security agencies to investigate an alleged voice note threatening soldiers deployed to prevent renewed violence in Anambra East. The council said the recording, allegedly linked to an unidentified person from Aguleri, called for military personnel at a checkpoint near Ama-Igwè Aguleri to step aside ahead of a proposed attack. The allegation has not been independently verified. The group urged residents and community leaders on all sides to avoid inflammatory statements and support dialogue. It said anyone found to be inciting violence or threatening security personnel should be investigated and dealt with according to the law.
