US Army Black Hawk Crashes During Training in Colorado, Four Aboard Unhurt
A US Army MH-60 Black Hawk helicopter crashed in a wooded area of Colorado’s foothills during a routine training operation on Tuesday. The aircraft, assigned to the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment and based at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, went down near Thorodin Mountain in Gilpin County, west of Denver. Authorities said four people were aboard, with no injuries reported. Emergency personnel responded to the remote crash site, and officials said there was no fire, fuel leak or threat to nearby communities. The Army has described the incident as an aviation mishap. The cause is yet to be disclosed.
