I believe elegant makeup is more about balance than using many products. A well-prepared base, colours that suit your skin tone and a look that matches the occasion can make a big difference. For everyday wear, moisturiser, light-to-medium coverage, blush and a comfortable lip colour can look fresh and polished. For weddings or evening events, lighting, photography, outfit colours and how long the event will last may call for a more defined finish. If I choose bold eye makeup, I prefer a softer lip colour to keep the look balanced. If I wear a bright lipstick, I may keep the eyes simple.
