A 60-year-old farmer, Bulus Turu, was reportedly killed while returning from his farm in Ancha community, Miango District of Bassa LGA, Plateau State. The Irigwe Youth Movement said Turu was attacked with a machete on Thursday and his body was recovered the following morning. The group alleged that the attackers were suspected herders. It said Turu, originally from Rotsu village, had been displaced to Ancha following earlier violence in the area. He is survived by two wives, 11 children and other relatives. The group has called for justice and improved security in the community.
