XEJet Sues SAHCO and AGHAN, Seeks ₦16.1bn Over Service Withdrawal and Alleged False Claims
XEJet Limited has filed separate suits against Skyway Aviation Handling Company (SAHCO) and the Aviation Ground Handlers Association of Nigeria (AGHAN), seeking a combined ₦16.1 billion in damages. The airline alleges that SAHCO breached a confidentiality clause by disclosing details of its account to AGHAN. XEJet also claims SAHCO wrongly withdrew ground-handling services at airports nationwide on 28 September, despite ongoing discussions over outstanding invoices. XEJet says it paid SAHCO ₦7 million on 28 September and a total of ₦215.9 million by the following day, which it says settled the account in full. It is seeking ₦1 billion for the alleged confidentiality breach and ₦100 million over the service withdrawal. In the suit against AGHAN, XEJet is seeking ₦15 billion in general, aggravated and exemplary damages over an association statement it says contained false information and was circulated to the media.
