Sanwo-Olu, Power Minister Set Up Committee to Improve Lagos Electricity Supply
Lagos State and the Federal Government have renewed efforts to improve electricity supply through the Clean Lagos Electricity Market initiative. Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Minister of Power Joseph Tegbe co-chaired a four-hour implementation retreat at Lagos House, Marina. Officials from the Transmission Company of Nigeria, the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission and the Rural Electrification Agency also attended. The meeting reviewed regulatory, technical and operational problems affecting power supply in Lagos. A steering committee will now coordinate agreed interventions, monitor progress and focus on improving reliability and access for households, businesses and industries across the state.
