Honouring Chief Ezemalukwuo and Mrs. Cecilia Egbuonu: A Poetic Tribute
Chief Ezemalukwuo Nwoye Egbuonu (1933–1974) and his wife, Cecilia Ekwubisionu Malukwuo Egbuonu (1937–2026), led the Egbuonu family of Ojoto, Anambra State, with unwavering integrity and faith. They championed community justice and instilled discipline across generations. As their son, I preserve their guidance and wisdom through poetry. In works like “The Eagle Primer,” “He That Lived,” “Official Takeover,” and “No Brushing Kick from Dad,” I share moments that shaped my journey. Here are excerpts from childhood memories that still guide me today: NO BRUSHING KICK FROM DAD Age Four Standing bicycle. *krrrr krrrr* backwards. Chain fell. Entwined. He came down calm. Eyes on me. No kick. I fixed it. "Dad, save the MOTTO money." Hair parted. "Good, my son." Give Woman Folk Gap Wisdom passed down from my father continues to guide me.
