#NairaLife: I Turned Crypto Profits Into a Cab Business, Then My Car Was Stolen
I made significant gains from cryptocurrency after holding Ethereum through the 2020 market crash. In 2022, I withdrew about ₦1.55 million from my profits and bought a car for an e-hailing business. The business initially brought in more than ₦20,000 daily after fuel costs. But rising fuel prices, expensive repairs and poor roads reduced my earnings. In February 2025, my car was stolen while I was waiting near a church, cutting off my main source of income. I now earn around ₦100,000 monthly from marketing my sister’s products, running a music-clipping channel and taking occasional gigs. With rent, electricity and food costs rising in Port Harcourt, I am trying to rebuild my savings and raise money for a laptop to grow my video and AI-content work.
