Ayra Starr’s Mother Says Social Media Is Affecting Gen Z’s Independent Thinking
Nene Aderibigbe, the mother of Nigerian singer Ayra Starr, has voiced concern about social media’s influence on young people. She said many Gen Z users seem to rely on others’ opinions instead of developing their own ideas and recognising their abilities. Aderibigbe recalled one of her children asking whether something she said was “fake life”. She urged young people to spend time away from their phones, reflect, think creatively and seek God’s guidance as they make plans for their lives.
