Armed Bandits Kill Man, Abduct Brother in Kubwa, Abuja

On Sunday, June 7, armed bandits stormed the new quarry layout at Arab Road in Kubwa, Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory. They forced their way into a house and shot dead a man identified as Muftahu before abducting his younger brother, Abubakar Sadiq. Neighbor Lawal Yahaya said the attackers arrived just before 11pm and carried out the raid for about two hours. The homeowner, a fashion designer known only as Hajiya, pleaded for help, but no one came to their aid. A tailor working under the designer managed to escape harm by hiding in the ceiling until security forces arrived the next morning and surprised him when he emerged. Residents recalled a similar December 2022 attack in which another man was killed and a woman abducted.
