Modele Sarafa-Yusuf Resigns From APC After Ogun Governorship Primary Loss
Modele Sarafa-Yusuf has resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC), saying she has informed the party leadership in Ogun State and submitted her resignation letter. She said she is not leaving public service but is taking time to reflect on the next phase of her political engagement. She added that she will return to her professional and business commitments while deciding her next move. Sarafa-Yusuf previously served as Director of Media and Publicity for Dapo Abiodun’s 2018 campaign and later as the Ogun governor’s Special Adviser on Information, Strategy and Communication. She sought the APC governorship ticket ahead of the 2023 election and again in the 2026 primaries, where Senator Solomon Adeola emerged as the party’s candidate. Before politics, she built a career in broadcasting, marketing and media management, including roles at NTA, Globacom, Channels Television and Arise News.
