Operation HADIN KAI: Troops Arrest Terrorist Informants and Destroy IEDs Across Borno
Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have intensified operations across Borno in the last 24 hours. Forces from 195 Battalion and the Civilian Joint Task Force apprehended a suspected ISWAP informant in Dusuman Ward, Mafa LGA. The suspect allegedly met terrorists in Labe village to provide intelligence on military movements. 73 Battalion reported the voluntary surrender of an ISWAP member in Konduga LGA. He confessed to three attacks on Delwa, discarded his AK-47 in a river and handed over a bicycle, cutlass, repair tools and ₦6,500 cash. In Gubio LGA, troops of 149 Battalion and CJTF arrested another informant linked to the June 16 attack that killed a CJTF member. Near Road Kauji in Damboa LGA, forces intercepted terrorist logistics suppliers, who fled and abandoned bicycles, cartons of drinks, veterinary medicines and a canopy. 26 Task Force Brigade also discovered and safely detonated an IED in a farming area around Dagari in Sambisa Forest, Bama LGA. These actions aim to dismantle terror networks, deny insurgents freedom of movement and bolster security across the North-East.
