Troops of Operation Hadin Kai, working with local hunters, have arrested six suspected kidnappers during operations around Soktu Hill in Song Local Government Area of Adamawa State. The military said the operation followed intelligence on a kidnapping syndicate allegedly operating across the Soktu, Dumne and Maigero areas. Three suspects were initially arrested and a Dane gun was recovered, while follow-up operations led to three more arrests. The suspects are alleged to have taken part in abductions for ransom and other violent crimes. They are in military custody pending further investigation and legal action. In a separate operation in Borno State, a suspected Boko Haram/ISWAP member surrendered to troops in Benisheikh. The military said an AK-47 rifle, ammunition, magazines, an improvised explosive device and a bicycle were recovered.
