Every Nigerian life must matter. This principle should guide every reform effort and every conversation about the country’s future. When life is treated as valuable, food safety, healthcare, security and education can no longer be ignored. Safe food should be a standard. Healthcare should not depend on income or location. Security should protect farmers, traders and students alike. We should not accept preventable deaths, hunger or schools that issue certificates without building competence. Public systems must reflect the value we place on people. As election conversations continue, Nigerians should ask candidates whether their policies will make life safer, healthier and more dignified for everyone.
