Nigerian-American fashion creator and model Wisdom Kaye received the Virgil Abloh Award at the 19th Annual Harlem’s Fashion Row Fashion Show and Style Awards in New York City. The LVMH-sponsored honour was presented as New York Fashion Week began. Kaye reflected on his journey from making fashion videos with an iPhone in a corner of his room to reaching a global audience. He said he never expected his ideas and simple setup to help inspire a new wave of fashion video content. The “Peace by Piece” event also honoured Erykah Badu with the Fashion Icon Award, while Brandon Blackwood was named Designer of the Year. The recognition marks a major milestone for Kaye and highlights the growing influence of digital creators in global fashion.
