Anambra Police Arrest Suspect in Murder of Nursing Student in Alor, Clear Landlord
The Anambra State Police Command says it has arrested a 26-year-old suspect over the killing of 23-year-old nursing student Vivian Chilaka in Alor, Idemili South LGA. Police said the suspect was arrested on 4 September after receiving credible information. Preliminary findings allege that he entered the compound by climbing the fence with a ladder and intended to sexually assault the victim. A struggle reportedly followed, during which she was allegedly stabbed. The police said the suspect has made claims linking him to other incidents in the community, which are still being investigated. The landlord previously suspected in the case has been cleared, while the suspect remains in custody pending further investigation.
