Kano Drug Abuse Task Force Inaugurates Nine Sub-Committees
Kano State’s Multi-Agency Task Force on Drug Abuse and Trafficking has inaugurated nine sub-committees to strengthen its response to drug abuse and drug peddling. The committees will handle finance; media and publicity; advocacy and sensitisation; licensing, inventory and verification; compliance, inspection and electronic tracking; monitoring and implementation; intelligence; reformative and traditional council engagement; and anti-drug coordination. The task force chairman urged members to treat their roles as a call to service, work closely with relevant stakeholders and produce measurable results in the campaign against drug trafficking and substance abuse across the state.
