Kano Court Remands Man Over Alleged Fatal Cutlass Attack on Friend in Abuja
A Kano Magistrate’s Court has remanded Nazifi Kafir Liringo in a correctional centre over the alleged killing of his friend, Zaharaddin Adamu, in Abuja. Police alleged that Liringo struck Adamu with a cutlass while they were cutting grass, and that Adamu later died from the injuries. The defendant was arraigned on a culpable homicide charge under Section 222 of the Penal Code. The magistrate said the court lacked jurisdiction to hear the matter, ordered his remand and adjourned the case until October 6, 2026.
