19-Year-Old Allegedly Beaten to Death Over ₦17,000 in Enugu Village

A 19-year-old boy was reportedly tied to a tree and flogged for hours in Amoka Village, Nru Nsukka, Enugu State after his father accused him of stealing ₦17,000. He denied taking the money but was allegedly assaulted by his father and other male relatives. After the ordeal, the teenager was asked to wash off the blood in the bathroom. Family members later found him unconscious there and he was confirmed dead shortly after. Residents claim the family hurried through his burial on the same day and tried to conceal how he died. Local sources are calling for an official investigation.
