EDP, EDT or Parfum? How to Choose the Right Perfume Concentration in Nigeria

EDT, EDP, Parfum, Extrait and Eau de Cologne describe broad fragrance concentration categories. They can affect how a perfume feels, projects and lasts, but they are not a quality ranking. An EDT is not automatically inferior to an EDP, and a costly Parfum will not necessarily smell or perform better on your skin. Eau Fraîche and Eau de Cologne are usually light and refreshing. EDT is a versatile option for everyday wear, while EDP often feels richer and more noticeable. Parfum or Extrait is typically more concentrated, so fewer sprays may be enough. Still, longevity depends on the formula, ingredients, your skin and how much you apply, not concentration alone. Nigeria's heat can make fragrances project more strongly. Lighter scents may feel more comfortable during hot afternoons, while richer EDPs and Parfums can work well with fewer sprays or for evening events and air-conditioned spaces. Test a fragrance on your skin and allow it to settle before buying a full bottle. I would rather wear an affordable scent I genuinely enjoy than buy an expensive bottle because of its label. For perfume lovers, which works best for you in Nigeria's weather: EDT, EDP or Parfum?
