Florida Rapper Ace NH Asks Judge to Accept Jury’s Death-Penalty Recommendation
Florida rapper Billy Bennett Adams III, known as Ace NH, has asked a judge to accept the jury’s recommendation that he receive the death penalty following his conviction in the 2023 death of his pregnant girlfriend, Alana Sims. In a handwritten letter dated October 12, 2026, Adams told Hillsborough County Judge Mark R. Wolfe that he did not want his lawyers to challenge the recommendation. He said he had asked them to respect his decision when the case returns to court. Sims, 22, was five months pregnant at the time of her death on January 30, 2023. Prosecutors alleged that Adams did not want another child. During the penalty phase, the jury voted 8–4 in favour of a death sentence under Florida law.
