NNPP Denies G-100 Coalition Link, Says It Is Still Consulting on 2027 Plans
The New Nigeria Peoples Party has denied being part of the G-100 coalition as opposition groups hold consultations ahead of the 2027 general election. National Chairman Agbo Major said the party previously nominated a presidential candidate, but the candidate later stepped down because of logistical and administrative challenges. He said the party is still consulting with other political parties and has yet to decide its direction. Major said the NNPP would meet soon to take a definite position. He also questioned whether the coalition could unite behind one presidential candidate, given the ambitions of the politicians involved.
